The mechanics
How Saily works
- 1
Install the app and buy in-app
Pick your destination and plan inside the app — checkout, eSIM and top-ups all live in one place, no email vouchers.
- 2
One tap installs the eSIM
The app writes the eSIM profile directly — no QR-code juggling, and it can switch host networks automatically where Saily holds multiple agreements.
- 3
Data starts when you land
The plan activates per its validity window; if you run low, buy a top-up in the app and keep the same eSIM.

FAQ
What do travelers ask about the Saily eSIM
Which countries does the Saily eSIM work in?
Saily sells eSIMs for 50 of the 50 destinations this site tracks, all priced from the same dated snapshot. Its own catalogue lists 200+ destinations in total — we track the 50 where demand is highest. For a specific trip, open that destination's page in the country comparison and every Saily plan sorts against the field.
How competitive is Saily on price?
No provider wins everywhere — it depends on the destination. Saily is the cheapest provider in 0 of the 50 countries where we track its plans (%!d(float64=0)% of its coverage).
Is there an unlimited Saily eSIM?
Yes — 227 of the 471 plans we track from Saily are unlimited. Every one carries a fair-use policy that can throttle speed after a threshold, so read the verbatim notes in our fair-use audit before a streaming-heavy trip.
Do I need the Saily app to use its eSIMs?
Yes — Saily is app-first: you browse, buy and install plans inside the app (available on the App Store and Google Play), and the eSIM sits alongside your physical SIM rather than replacing it. Buy and install before you fly; on landing, enable data roaming for the eSIM line and it connects by itself.
Is there a Saily discount code?
Yes — code VEEPEE25 gives 25% off Saily eSIMs (25% off, Partner promotion published on Saily's official site. Enter the code in the Saily app's checkout; if it's rejected the promo may have ended — Saily also maintains an official coupon page (saily.com/coupon/).). Copy it on our eSIM deals page, which also calculates whether the discounted price still loses to a cheaper rival in each country.
What is the entry price for Saily?
The entry price in our database is $2.99 — the smallest bucket in the cheapest destination, not necessarily the right plan for your trip. Sort by $/GB on your destination's page before choosing; prices exclude promo codes and taxes.
Can Saily be trusted for travel data?
Saily launched in 2024 and sells app-first plans across 50 destinations. It is operated by NordSec B.V., headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is a sponsored partner of this site — rankings here are still computed by price alone (see our methodology).
Where do I get help with a Saily eSIM?
Saily offers 24/7 live chat in the Saily app, web support tickets and email (no phone support). Email: [email protected]. Before writing in, test once on Wi-Fi and check that data roaming is on for the eSIM line — most "no connection" reports turn out to be a roaming toggle, not a broken eSIM.
Does Saily give money back if the eSIM fails?
Refunds can be requested within 30 days of activation and while the data package is still valid. Unused packages are refunded in full and barely-used ones (under about 1% of data consumed) partially, all via Saily's self-service refund center; if you can't install the eSIM within 30 days you can also get a refund. Practical tip: buy a day or two before departure and install at home — if anything fails you still have time to claim. (Summarised from Saily's published policy; always check their own terms before buying.)
